      How to install the 30MHz Solar Repeater

      How to assemble the 30MHz Solar Repeater

      1. Push the bolts through the washers (with the rubber side of the washer facing the solar panel)Solar_Repeater_-_Step_1.1.png

      2. Orient the solar panel as shown on the picture below.

      3. Insert the screws in the holes of the solar panel. Tighten the bolts to the mounting bracket using the supplied 2mm hex key.

      Read the following article if you haven’t installed the mounting brackets on the 30MHz Repeater. Proceed with this manual again after installing the brackets on the 30MHz Repeater.

      4. Orient the solar panel with mounting bracket as shown on the picture below.

      5. Insert the bolts through the bracket as soon on the image and tighten the bolts to the 30MHz Repeater bracket by using the supplied 3mm hex key.

      Plug the power connector in the 30MHz Repeater

      6. Plug the power connector attached to the solar panel on the port of the 30MHz Repeater, marked with a lightning bolt.

      7. Twist the knurled ring shown in the image below of the connector hand tight. Important: Plugging in the power connector will wake the 30MHz Solar Repeater when the solar panel receives enough light.

      Now you are ready to place the 30MHz Solar Repeater outside. Read the Important installation/position guidelines described below.

      Important installation/position guidelines

      • The solar panel should be cleaned regularly to maintain optimal charging performance.
      • If your 30MHz Solar Repeater does get dirty, simply use a damp cloth to wipe away any surface dirt. For caked on dirt or grime, use isopropyl alcohol or any electronic screen cleaner.
      • The 30MHz Solar Repeater can only be used outside.

      • Install the 30MHz Solar Repeater above any structures to prevent shade on the solar panel.

      • The solar panel should be facing south if the installation site is north of the equator.

      • The solar panel should be facing north if the installation site is south of the equator.

      • The 30MHz Solar Repeater should be installed in the correct orientation.
