How does the provided weather data work?

In the 30MHz platform, you are able to ingest weather data from your location. We work together with Weathersolutions to provide you a virtual (downscaled) weather station per location.

What is provided per location? 

A virtual station will be set up per location. The following data will be provided per location: 

• Weather Forecast:
  • Wind speed (m/s)
  • Wind direction
  • Relative humidity (%)
  • Temperature (°C) 
  • Air pressure (hPa) 
  • Integrated Global radiation - last hour (Wh/m2, J/cm2)
  • Precipitation amount - last hour 
  • Probability of precipitation - last hour (%)

The data will be shown with a forecast horizon of 5 days (minimum forecast horizon), with a time resolution of an hour. 

What is defined as a location? 

The weather data will be given per virtual station that is created per location. The location will be defined by the coordinates provided by the customer. 

Can I request historical data? 

The data will be available from the start date of the integration through the 30MHz platform. It is not possible to request data from a virtual station before it was created. Once the virtual station is created, the weather data will be stored, i.e. historical data is available from the moment of creation of the downscaled location.
